What will you gain from this experience?
-
You're going to learn to see, not just to photograph.
You stop reacting to the moment and start anticipating it.
You learn to read the light, observe better, and build images with intention. -
You will gain confidence in any situation.
Whether on a busy street or in an unexpected moment, you will feel more prepared to act, decide, and photograph safely.
-
Close monitoring throughout the entire journey.
Small groups (max. 8 people) allow for constant feedback, immediate corrections, and guidance tailored to your level.
-
You're going to evolve in how you think about photography.
It's not just about technique; you'll develop a more conscious, critical eye that's more aligned with the type of photography you want to create.
-
You're going to experience moments that don't happen on a normal trip.
It's not tourism. It's about being in the right places, at the right times, with time to truly observe, photograph, and absorb.
-
You'll come back with stronger images (and more intention)
More than quantity, you will bring photos with meaning, images that show evolution and not just a record.
Yes, it's for you!
Most people arrive with doubts about their level or whether "it's for me?".
The difference is felt right from the first few days, in the way you look, the way you photograph, and the confidence with which you do it.
Travel Itinerary
Day 1 | Marrakesh
Marrakesh, known as the Pearl of the South, is home to Morocco’s largest souk and one of Africa’s most vibrant squares. In the morning, we’ll discover the essence of Morocco. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the souks and artisans’ quarter, where tradition meets modernity. At sunset, we’ll explore the famous Djemaa El Fna square, a sensory spectacle with food stalls, musicians and more.
Day 2 | Marrakesh > Ait Benhaddou > Boumalne
We start the morning with a visit to the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Then we head towards Ait Benhaddou, passing through Tizi n'Tichka (2,260m above sea level). We visit the famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting for films such as “Lawrence of Arabia”. This town, a true “mirage” in the desert, is a landmark in Berber history. We continue to Boumalne, passing through Ouarzazate and Kalaa Mgouna. After a day full of excitement, we enjoy a well-deserved dinner and rest in a comfortable accommodation, where we recharge our batteries for the days ahead.
Day 3 | Boumalne > Merzouga
We start the morning in the incredible Dades Gorges, where we will photograph one of the most beautiful roads in Morocco. We will continue towards Merzouga, making spontaneous stops along the way, where we will have the opportunity to capture the natural beauty and interact with the local communities. Between stunning landscapes and authentic moments with the locals, each moment will be a new photographic inspiration. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, in the Sahara Desert, crossing its golden dunes. As the light fades and gives way to the starry sky, we will prepare for a magical night in a camp in the middle of the desert. Perfect for relaxing, sharing stories and immersing yourself in the serenity of the desert.
Day 4 | Merzouga
We start the day early with a hike to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, a magical moment in the heart of the desert that you will certainly remember forever. After breakfast, we will continue on a 4x4 tour, stopping at points of interest: a Berber family, some nearby villages and impressive dunes, where we will have authentic experiences with the locals. The afternoon will be free, ideal for taking a dip in the pool and taking a photo editing class. We will end the day with the sunset over the dunes, where we will have the opportunity to take incredible photographs.
Day 5 | Merzouga > Rissani > Ouarzazate
We start the day by saying goodbye to the desert and heading towards Rissani, where we visit a lively local market, perfect for capturing unique moments. From fruit and vegetable vendors to artisans working with metal, every corner offers incredible photo opportunities. After this cultural immersion, we continue towards Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night. Along the way, we will make spontaneous stops, whether to photograph stunning landscapes or to interact with the locals, making the journey as inspiring as the destination.
Day 6 | Ouarzazate > Marrakesh
We start the day in Ouarzazate with a city tour, exploring its main attractions and visiting the lively Sunday Souk, a market full of colour and life, ideal for capturing authentic moments. After exploring the market at leisure, we continue our journey towards Marrakesh. With occasional stops along the way, we arrive in the city at dusk and end the day with a festive dinner, sharing experiences and preparing to bid farewell to the trip.
Day 7 | Marrakesh
Free morning to explore the colorful mazes of the souks or take photos with me. Among vibrant fabrics, aromatic spices, tapestries and jewelry, you will have the opportunity to shop and take home unique souvenirs from this incredible adventure in Morocco.
"I never thought in my life to say, I took those photos, and that's absolutely incredible."

Useful information
Do I need experience?
No.
This workshop is not just for advanced photographers; it's for anyone who wants to improve.
Whether you're just starting out or have been photographing for a while, the guidance is tailored to your level. The goal is to help you improve in practice, regardless of your current stage.
Can I go alone?
Of course!
Most people come alone.
As the groups are small (max. 8 people), a natural bond quickly forms between everyone. In the end, it always turns out to be a very shared experience.
What level is required?
You don't need to be an advanced photographer.
This workshop was designed for people who want to improve, regardless of whether they are at an early stage or already have some experience. What matters most is not the level you arrive at, but your desire to learn, observe better, and photograph with more intention.
Since the group is small, I can follow each person closely and adapt the guidance to their level.

CARLOS MUSTRA
Hi, I'm João
I am a photographer and, above all, someone deeply passionate about the world and the stories that live within each culture.
For me, traveling has never just been about visiting places or capturing beautiful images. It has always been about stopping, observing, trying to understand and, above all, connecting with the cultures and stories I encounter along the way.
Over the years, I've realized that the most powerful photographs don't come from technique, but from the way we look, feel, and relate to what's in front of us. It's this way of being that I seek to develop on every trip.
Why I created this workshop
This workshop was born precisely from that idea.
I wanted to create something that went beyond a traditional trip or workshop, an experience where there is time to observe, to make mistakes, to learn, and to consciously evolve.
A space where you're not just taking photos, but developing your vision, your confidence, and your way of telling stories through images.
What you can expect
During this experience, you will receive close guidance, and more than teaching technique, my goal is to help you see better, photograph with more intention, and leave this trip with a different connection to photography and to the world.
I can't wait to share this journey with you in Morocco.
